A Study in Teak

There’s a gorgeous set of LNER teak carriages on the Severn Valley Railway in regular use. Built in the 1920’s, they were designed by Sir Nigel Gresley for LNER mainline services. Here’s a few shots that gives an idea of the attention to detail and quality of workmanship that went into these elegant, refined and comfortable carriages.
I’ll update this with some decent exterior shots as soon as there’s some blue sky…
